Barry Krause is Founder & CEO of Suite, originators of LiveLab social media factories. Suite recently swept the Interactive Category for the 2013 Emmy Awards. They previously earned the 2012 SXSW Digital Innovation Award and the CES Experiential Innovation Award. These were the result of work developed with clients Kenmore, Craftsman and Nike as well as original branded content produced for its own LiveLab Network.

A recipient of Ad Age’s Agency Innovator Award, Krause’s career shows his passion for orchestrating imaginative teams, and ideas, for staging and restaging brands. Krause’s success, as architect of the Jared campaign for Subway, is detailed in Chip Heath’s bestseller, Made To Stick. Krause was a lead strategist in Progressive’s makeover from obscurity to the innovator of a new way to buy auto insurance. He also helped successfully stage or restage brands for Heinz, Nestle, Kraft, GardenBurger, L’Oreal, Blue Cross, Principal Financial, Nuveen and others.

Previously, Krause was Chairman, CEO of Publicis New York and Publicis MidAmerica, President of Publicis & Hal Riney and of JWT in Chicago. This followed 14 years at Leo Burnett where Barry directed, then largest account, McDonald’s and created the Invention Marketing Group. 

Earlier, Crain’s honored Barry as one of “40 Under 40 Execs to Watch. He earned a B.S. in Marketing from Bradley University where he was President of the American Marketing Association Chapter there and recipient of their Outstanding Marketing Student Award. He studied Management of the Creative Enterprise at Harvard.

Krause is an avid industry keynote speaker, blogger and university lecturer on brand building in the digital age. A life-long drummer, good music is one of Barry’s personal passions.
